Shot blasting uses the centrifugal force of the impeller on the shot blasting machine when it rotates at high speed to shoot the shot at the surface of the steel being treated at a high linear speed, producing a striking and grinding effect, removing the oxide scale and rust on the steel surface, and producing a certain degree of roughness. Shot blasting is very efficient and can be carried out in a sealed environment.
Shot blasting and rust removal level;
(1) Mild shot blasting and rust removal. The steel surface should be free of visible grease or dirt, and free of loosely attached oxide scale, rust, paint coating, and other attachments;
(2) Thorough shot blasting and rust removal. The steel surface should be free of visible grease or dirt, and free of loosely attached oxide scale, rust, paint coating, and other attachments;
(3) Very thorough shot blasting and rust removal. The steel surface should be free of visible grease or dirt, scale, rust, paint coating, and other attachments, and any remaining traces should only be slight spots or stripes of color;
(4) Shot blasting to clean the steel surface. The steel surface should be free of visible grease or dirt, scale, rust paint coating, and other attachments, showing a uniform metallic luster;
Preparation work before shot blasting
(1) Determine whether the workpiece can be shot blasted or whether it can be decomposed and shot blasted according to the overall size of the workpiece;
(2) Adjust the shot blasting angle of the shot blasting machine according to the structure and height of the workpiece;
(3) Turn the positioning sleeve counterclockwise, the shot angle is upward; turn the positioning sleeve clockwise, the shot angle is downward;
(4) The determination of the shot angle is based on the traces of the workpiece shot blasting test;
(5) Keep track of the steel shot inventory at all times. The steel shot inventory should not be less than 2000 kg. If it is less than this number, add shots in time;
(6) The shot medium should be a mixture of steel shot and wire cut shot, with a ratio of 3:7;
(7) Before working, the machine should be turned on and run at no load for 3 minutes to check whether all components are operating normally before turning on the machine;
Shot blasting
(1) Start-up procedure: dust collector - bucket elevator - horizontal screw conveyor - vertical screw conveyor - shot blaster - conveyor roller - shot feeder - shot cleaning fan;
(2) The shutdown procedure is the opposite of the startup procedure;
(3) Determine the conveying speed according to the rust removal level
Observe the rust removal degree. If it does not reach the specified level, perform secondary blasting. If it still does not reach the specified level, consider using new steel shots for rust removal;
Observe whether the workpiece is missing after shot blasting. If so, stop the machine immediately to search. Do not start the machine before finding it; The workpiece parking area is strictly prohibited from being exposed to the open air, and the air humidity should not be greater than 80%;
If there is any discrepancy with the production plan or drawings, the relevant technical personnel should be found immediately to deal with it;
During the shot blasting process, if quality factors that cannot be eliminated are found, work should be stopped immediately and relevant personnel should be found to deal with it.
