1. The position of the rack welding port should avoid the stress concentration area and facilitate welding processing.
2. The groove of the steel structure should be processed according to the processing drawings. When there is no specification in the drawings, the style and size of the groove should be selected according to these principles: ensuring welding quality, less filling metal, convenient operation, reducing welding stress and deformation, etc.
3. Before assembling the rack welding parts, the oil, paint, dirt, rust, burrs and galvanized layer on the surface and nearby of the welding port should be cleaned to reveal the metallic luster.
4. When the local gap of the rack welding port is too large, it should be trimmed to the specified size. It is strictly forbidden to add fillers in the gap.
5. The welding rods, welding wires and flux used for large-scale rack welding processing should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated place with a temperature greater than 5°C and a relative air humidity less than 60%. The welding rods for welding important components should be stored in a special insulation cylinder with a temperature of 100-150°C and can be taken out as needed.
6. When welding the frame, the workpiece should be firmly padded to prevent deformation and additional stress during welding and heat treatment.
7. Except for the cold-drawn joints specified in the design of the frame, the other welds are prohibited from being assembled by force, and the thermal expansion method is not allowed to be used to align the joints to prevent additional stress.
8. To ensure the quality of frame welding, the welding site should be windproof, rainproof, snowproof, coldproof, etc.
9. For welds that require preheating and post-weld heat treatment, preheating and post-heating tooling equipment, temperature measuring instruments and thermal insulation protective equipment should be prepared before welding.
10. When welding welds on the plane, ensure that the longitudinal welds and transverse welds (especially the transverse) can shrink freely. If welding butt welds, the welding direction should point to the free end.
11. When welding the frame, welds with larger shrinkage should be welded first. If there are butt welds and fillet welds on the structure, butt welds with larger shrinkage should be welded first.
12. When welding the frame, the short horizontal weld should be welded first.
13. When welding the frame, the weld with greater stress should be welded to make the internal stress distribution reasonable.
14. For the frame welded parts with greater deformation, welding reinforcement can be used reasonably according to the actual situation during welding.
15. For the combined welded parts composed of multiple components, step-by-step assembly welding should be adopted, and the overall combined welding should be carried out after the deformation is corrected.
16. After the frame welding is completed, the entire inner and outer surfaces or part of the surface of the frame should be corrected and cleaned.
17. After welding, the surface cleaning of the frame should be shot peened to better improve the fatigue strength of the frame.
